| The John Milton Williams MuseumofRadio Broadcasting HistoryDedicated in October 2001, this museum showcases rare microphones and other technology used from the birth of commercial radio through the Golden Age of Radio broadcasting in the 1920's through the 1940's. The museum was named to honor famed NBC and Radio City broadcaster, actor, and male model John Milton Williams who preserved this historic collection for many years. The museum rotunda was designed by architects Nick Tekushan and Don Snyder and contains everything from rare transmitter tubes to "on air" signs to rare microphones, and even lifelike figures of Ruth Etting crafted by Rodney Heiligmann and creative artists at LifeFormations in Bowling Green, Ohio. |
